Design Glut
Design Glut makes cultural products - everything from housewares to jewelry to essays to websites. We use product design as a medium to convey messages. Many of our projects are political, responding to current events and social trends. We believe that we are living in a design glut. There is just too much stuff in the marketplace. This is our starting point. We don’t make things unless we truly believe there is a reason for them to exist. Our objects start conversations, cause you to crack a smile, add something meaningful to your life.
Founded in 2007 by Kegan Fisher and Liz Kinnmark, Design Glut has been featured in many major design publications and sells everywhere from VOOS to the MOMA Design Store to Urban Outfitters. Our studio is located in Bushwick and we love & are inspired by our city every day.

It's OK to cry - as long as you use a Dow Jones Hanky. Our handkerchief is embroidered with the graph of the Dow Jones from the past 5 years, 2004 to 2009. Wipe away your recession tears. Custom pieces are also available - gor $95, we'll embroider the graph of your stock portfolio. Currently in the showroom.

Egg Pants have three stubby "legs" which will keep your breakfast eggs standing tall. They're white on the outside and yellow on the inside, just like the eggs they hold.While the material looks like ceramic, it is actually quite soft and flexible. The flexibility allows these little cups to stretch and give a perfect fit to all different sizes of eggs.
